Hi, I’m Taylor.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-A) in San Marcos, Texas. I work with adolescents (15+), adult women, couples, and parents.

Most people come to me looking to make sense of their life, past, or hardship they are experiencing. The clients I tend to work with are already a bit introspective, self-motivated, and ready to do the work of processing emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.

ABOUT

BACKGROUND

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Texas State University (Go Bobcats!) and Masters of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health from Liberty University. Prior to pursuing Licensed Professional Counseling, my background consisted of education, vocational ministry, and child welfare system. I am supervised by Pamela Allen, MA, LPC-S, EMDR Consultant, TBRI®  Practitioner.

Approach

In the counseling room, I use a persons-centered approach with a variety of modalities including Attachment Theory, Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), Intimacy Therapy, and a sprinkling of IFS, DBT, and sand tray therapy.

Additionally, I offer Biblical Counseling if desired.

We all need a safe space to process through difficult circumstances, pain, tough emotions and joys in life. It is my desire for each individual to live with hope, purpose, and perseverance. My goal is to walk alongside individuals and couples as they find healing, hope, and connection.

Personal Details

I enjoy spending time with my husband and four school-aged kids! We love to be outside, watch/play sports, and find local adventures around us including good food and coffee. With years spent in vocational ministry and lived experience as a foster/adoptive parent, I am passionate about healthy relationships, family, and marriage.
